Luckily for Tampa police, one robber was clearly caught on camera at the Walgreens he was attempting to rob.
Police reports show that the suspect, Matthew Thomas Morgan, 33, was seen walking up to the pharmacist counter. He then demanded a stash of popular pain killer Oxycodone, and implied that he had a gun hidden in the paper bag he was carrying. The tape then shows the pharmacist placing the pills in a bag, after which Morgan ran out of the store.
Based on camera footage and eyewitness reports, officers were quickly able to identify Morgan and issue a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody later that afternoon when officers found him at an apartment on Brennan Circle.
Morgan now faces one charge of strongarmed robbery.
