19 Year Old Passenger Killed in Car Accident

On Sunday night a 19 year woman from Tampa suffered fatal injuries in a car accident on Interstate 75.
Tessa Byers was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Russel Colleran, also 19-years-old, when the vehicle veered off of the road. The 2009 Dodge Caliber rolled several times, causing serious injuries to Colleran and ejecting Byers from the vehicle.
Colleran was taken to the hospital and was listed in serious condition. Byers was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by authorities. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation and no charges have been filed.
