Attempted Burglary Foiled by Police and Victim

Last sunday a man was arrested after allegedly smashing the glass front door of another man's house with a golf club and swinging the weapon at the resident.
The man allegedly entered the garage of the victim, grabbing a golf club and using it to smash the front glass door, entering the house and threatening to injure the victim inside with the golf club. A small struggle ensued, but the attacker attempted to flee, being stopped by an arriving police officer with the assistance of the victim.
The man faces charges for armed burglary, aggravated
assault and resisting arrest.
