Causing an accident is never fun, but crashing into a police cruiser can be a total nightmare.
That was the case for a 25-year-old man who tried to avoid going through a traffic stop last month. According to police reports, the young man saw police conducting a stop, turned around and sped away. He did not get very far, however, as he ran into a police cruiser and caused a serious accident. Although he refused to take a Breathalyzer at the time, his blood work analysis came back this week to show that he was under the influence when he caused the accident.
As soon as police in Tampa, Florida received this information, they issued a warrant for his arrest. Several officers waited at his house to serve the arrest warrant, which including two counts of DUI with property damage, two counts of reckless driving, three counts of reckless driving with serious injury, and three counts of DUI with serious injury.
