After 11 months working undercover, officers from one police department had enough evidence to produce nearly 40 arrest warrants. This week, 37 of the wanted individuals were brought in by police for a variety of drug crimes.
While the department had suspected two men of being involved in underground drug operations, they had no prior evidence to move forward with charges. However, based on evidence gathered during the undercover operation, they were able to charge the two men with multiple offenses including felon in possession of a firearm, dealing in stolen property and possession of crack cocaine.
Police say that the other offenders were charged similar drug crimes and more, including possession of oxycodone, ecstasy, powdered cocaine and marijuana. Altogether, the estimated street value of the drugs collected during the raid wad $75,000.
