February 4, 2013 a fugitive couple from Wisconsin was arrested in Tampa by the Hillsborough Sheriff's Department. What was meant to be a routine patrol turned out to be an arrest of two wanted individuals who were believed to be suspects in an armed carjacking with a knife in Washington County, Wisconsin. According to the Tamp police reports, Deputy Craig Robert was on his routine patrol in District One when he came across a vehicle that had a Wisconsin tag that registered as stolen. This 2012 Dodge Ram was parked outside of the Days Inn near Room 110.
The suspects connected to the alleged stolen vehicle were Scott Kudek, 38, and Kayla Goemer, 23, were arrested after the deputy discovered that it was in fact Scott's name that was registered to the room with the stolen vehicle out front. Law enforcing officials approached the room and attempted to make them exit the premises, however the suspects refused to leave the hotel room; threatening that they would hurt themselves if they were forced.
As a result, the SWAT team and the Crisis Negotiation Team arrive on the scene in order to get the suspects into custody after some time negotiating over the telephone with them. Police report that these two individuals both have countless priors on their records including the armed carjacking along with substance fraud, possession of controlled substance,
receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment, felony bail jumping,
manufacturing drugs and delivery.
If these two individuals are convicted for their actions, the consequences with the law could be severe.
