From Monday to Saturday, there will be several DUI enforcement events conducted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. A few DUI patrols will take place throughout the week, but even though officers are searching for signs of intoxication, deputies will also be looking for any suspected criminal activity.
Compliance checks are tests officers run with the help of a teen in order to see whether or not local establishments that sell alcohol will furnish a minor with the substance. Additionally, compliance checks will run for an extra hour this month, starting at six in the evening instead of seven.
The DUI enforcement events for this week include:
Monday, July 7: Eastern Hillsborough County (District II) will see compliance checks going from
6:00 p.m. to midnight
Tuesday, July 8: Compliance checks are scheduled for Western Hillsborough County (District III), starting at
6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Thursday, July 10: A heightened patrol is slated for
6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. throughout Southern Hillsborough County (District IV).
- It should be noted, most heightened patrols do not take place at this time, so this could be a typo on the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office site.
Friday, July 11: Another heightened patrol is scheduled, this time for
8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. in Western Hillsborough County (District III).
- These are the normal hours during which heightened patrols take place.
Saturday, July 12: Yet another round of compliance checks are set to occur, but this time from
11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Northern Hillsborough County (District I).
Saturday, July 12: There is also a saturation patrol, for Southern Hillsborough County (District IV), going from
9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
