The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a homicide case which took place on March 11th 2014. According to the police reports, a man called the sheriff’s office to report that he had found a deceased woman outside of his residence. The man who placed the call was waiting when police arrived. He claimed that the woman outside of his home was his ex-girlfriend
Homicide detectives and crimes scene technicians responded to the scene of the crime, and discovered drag marks near the home. They also noticed a cinder block near the backyard with blood on it, and areas of dirt where there appeared to be some blood and a partial shoe print. The investigators then searched the 9-1-1 caller’s home and discovered a pair of pajama pants with blood on the front of them.
Even though he was the 9-1-1 caller, detectives still thought it necessary to interview the caller and determine his involvement in the case. They discovered that he was the boyfriend of the victim. According to his testimony, the girl came to his home on March 9th and stayed for a short time before driving away in her vehicle. He claims that he had no further contact with her prior to her death.
