Last week, a Brandon woman was pulled over on suspicion of driving under
the influence on three separate occasions within a six day period, according
to Hillsborough County jail reports.
J. Yi, 31, was arrested on Tuesday morning near her home on Camellia Drive
E. The arrest came just four days after she was arrested on Friday afternoon
on Brandon Boulevard. Before Friday’s encounter with police, she
was arrested Thursday evening while driving on the same road.
All three of Yi’s arrests were for driving under the influence.
Yi refused to submit to blood-alcohol testing during the first two
DUI arrests, however, the authorities are awaiting the results of the test
that was taken after her third stop, the
Tampa Bay Times reports.
Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Debbie Carter said that she doesn’t
recall in her 30 years seeing anyone arrested for DUI three times in less
than six days.
For Yi’s third DUI offense, she was held without bail.
According to records, Yi is a price coordinator for Coca-Cola.
Florida Penalties for a Third DUI Offense
DUI, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, is covered under

Under Sec. 316.193(2),(3) F.S., anyone who is convicted of a third DUI
within a 10 year period, or a subsequent DUI is guilty of a third degree felony.
Whenever a person refuses to submit to a chemical test in the form of a
blood, breath, or urine test, a second or subsequent refusal is a misdemeanor
of the first degree under Florida’s implied consent law.
For a first chemical test refusal, the suspension period is 1 year. A second
