Client Stopped at TPA for Switchblade Knife

In a recent case, our criminal lawyers represented a client who had been stopped at the Tampa International Airport (TPA) after being found to have a switchblade knife in his bag. Our criminal defense law team was quickly brought onto the case. We argued to the State Attorney's Office that the client had no idea that the knife was his bag and that he had not intended to bring it into the airport at all. Based upon our argument, and the corroborating evidence, the State Attorney agreed to let our client to enter into a court division program. Now, instead of having to face criminal charges, he will eventually have them completely dismissed.
