Female School Teacher Charged With Sexual Battery of a Minor

In a press release issued by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 23, M. Connors, 30, of Brandon, has been arrested and charged with sexual battery of a minor. Connors has been charged with 7 counts of sexual battery, lewd & lascivious battery, and lewd conduct.

The victim is a 15-year-old male student who attended Turkey Creek Middle School, where Connors was a teacher.

According to the sheriff’s office, between January and February of 2015, Connors established a sexual relationship with one of her 15-year-old male students.

The romantic relationship started with kissing, but progressed to Connors allowing the student to touch her underneath her clothing. The relationship progressed to the point where Connors engaged in sexual relations with the victim on multiple occasions at the school, and during school hours.

The sheriff’s department reported that Connors would remove her student from his other classes and have sex with him in private rooms selected by Connors. On one occasion, Connors left the school grounds with the victim in her own vehicle and drove him to his home where they engaged in sexual intercourse in the teenager’s bedroom.

The 30-year-old teacher was arrested at her home and booked into the Orient Road Jail without bond.
